Analysis of CET-4 Exam Based on Attributes Importance

In order to get the knowledge of the importance of the sections in College English Test Band 4( CET-4),we made the attributes reduction and calculated the attributes importance on fifty samples according to the rough set theory. The results show that the reading section has the largest importance degree,it is even as large as the twice of the importance of the listening section and the writing and translation section,while the latter two sections have nearly equal importance. This research is beneficial to the English teaching in college,and is also a valuable reference in the further reform of the CET- 4.
