Corpus-based BaseNP Study

The ambiguity and inaccuracy of part of speech knowledge is still an open issue in the study of automatic parsing.In this paper,we make a detailed survey of recognition about baseNP based on a substantive word class system which was developed completely according to grammatical functions.The study shows that the system can a 71.3% accuracy rate.
