Performance Comparison Between MMSE and LS Equalization Algorithms for Satellite Channels

OFDM system model is applied to the satellite channel. Considered the actual situation,multipath interference and Doppler shift are added to the channel. In order to eliminate the inter-carrier interference( ICI) and the inter-symbol interference( ISI) better,the equalization algorithm is used after demodulation. The MMSE and LS equalization algorithm are studied in detail. The difference in performance of the two algorithms is concluded and the direction of the equalization algorithm is pointed out.
