Eyes Tiredness Recognition Combining with Integral Projection and Snake Model

Kun Liu · Jisuanji gongcheng · 2010

This paper puts forward a method combining with integral projection and Snake model to identify human eye tiredness. It uses Snake mode to detect the eyes, computes the contour of a face to locate eye position, then rotates the eye image to a suitable position. Vertical gradation integral projection is measured to calculate the region around eye, and becomes a waveform picture of vertical gradation integral projection. It calculates the value of the waveform’s three characteristics and uses it to recognize if the eye is in an open or closed state. Experimental results show that this method is simple, effective and fast, and it can also be applied in the inclination of the human eye.
