Repeat iterative adaptive algorithm for smart antennas in WCDMA-TDD system

A repeat iterative adaptive smart antenna algorithm for WCDMA-TDD systems is proposed. The array inputs and the training sequences (midamble) as referent signals are used time after time in the iterative adaptive algorithm. A good convergence can be achieved in case of short training sequence, and the transmitting efficiency in the communication systems can be improved. The simulated results thro ugh the full midamble repeat LMS algorithm and the slip window repeat LMS algori thm, demonstrate that the proposed method can obtain better results in case of short training sequence.
