A Study on Foreign Learners' Acquisition of bi (比) Structure

In this paper, based on an interlanguage corpus, foreign learners' use of bi (比) structure is studied. Errors, such as unnecessary addition, mismatch of adjectives and nouns, misuse of it (比) structure, sentence order inversion, are found. Different patterns of it (比) structure are classified and the use of these patterns by the foreign learners is investigated. The author argues that the method for correcting errors and improving language a-bility is to form language sense through intensive practice.
