Design and Characteristics Test for Micro Tetrahedral Loudspeaker
Shuguang Wang · Audio Engineering · 2009
A micro tetrahedral loudspeaker is made for HRTF measurement in the proximal region. The frequency response of the loudspeaker is measured in the semianechoic chamber according to GB/T 9396—1996 and compared with the characteristics of a micro dodecahedral loudspeaker. The directivity of the micro tetrahedral loudspeaker is calculated and plotted with MATLAB. The experiment results have shown that the characteristics of the designed loudspeaker were similar to the features of a point source in the given frequency range and can be used for HRTF measurement in the proximal region.
