Research on Improvement of the Ostu Algorithm

Intelligent video surveillance system has been gradually applied to many public places such as hospitals,marketplaces and so on.The algorithm for moving object detection is one of key techniques in this intelligent system.In this paper,we firstly compares some existing typical algorithms of object detection.And then the Ostu algorithm is introduced to process image.Then it is used to figure out a best threshold value during the object detection.Pointing to the existing problem of the traditional Ostu algorithm,it presents an improved method and test results finally.
