Design and Implementation of Open Telemedicine Image Information Management System

Objective To design an open telemedicine image information management system based on B/S structure so as to support the upload of trans-regional DICOM and non-DICOM photo files,which also supports information download by the authorized medical personnel from the covered area and provides integrative interfaces with other medical informational systems.Methods The system uses ASP.NET 2.0 and ORACLE 9i as the development environment.Results The system is developed in a short period of time and is workable in practice.Conclusion The system greatly facilitates trans-regional download/upload of images in different formats and make preparation for future teleradiology.
