Design and Implementation of Anycast Communication Module in NS2

Based on the network simulator which name is NS2, a more complete and independent anycast communication module is designed and implemented. Through improving NS2′s group management, extending addresses and classifier, and expanding the function for anycast communication, this communication module solve the key technical problem of simulating anycast communication protocol on NS2 and analyzing the performance of anycast routing algorithm. The algorithm′s simulation results show that this anycast communication module is effective and feasible, and it can use to analyze specific performance of anycast routing algorithm.
