Rough set theory and its application in fault diagnosis technology

This paper introduced the present situation of the fault diagnosis technology and the rough set theory,summarized the application forms of the fault diagnosis based on rough set.Those were the application of fault diagnosis based on rough set combined with Knowledge Discovery in Database(KDD),the application of fault diagnosis based on rough set combined with expert system,the application of fault diagnosis based on rough set combined with artificial neural network and the application of fault diagnosis based on rough set combined with other intelligent technology.It also pointed out the problems of the rough set study.The expected trend of the study was discussed.
