JI Changron · Journal of Modern Stomatology · 2000
Objective To study the relationship between facial growth pattern and sagittal horizontal plane angles. Methods The cephalometric radiographs of 65 young adults were measured, the corelationship between posterior-anterior ratio and the seven angle measurements (PP,OP,MP,SN planes including angles) were analysised by statistic methods. Results ①Minus corelation was found between the four angles consisted of sagittal horizontal planes and the posterior-anterior ratio.②The PP-MP angle was significantly coincided with the posterior-anterior ratio and the squared multiple R was 0.688 .Conclusion ①Facial posterior-anterior ratio could reflect the diverse degree of Sagittal skeletion.②PP-MP angle could be used as an indicator for confirming the facial growth pattern in clinic.
