The process of the study and development the of measurement and fertilization expert system for rice production is expounded in detail.Firstly,the fertilization expert knowledge is analyzed,then divided into different knowledge units,which are stored in the knowledge base in the form of sub-database.Secondly,according to the step of solving question,thenetwork picture of solution and inference of fertilization quantity is described,and based on this picture the working process of the system is explained.Finally,the summary and forecast of the study and development of the system are narrated.
