Study on the secondary designing waveform codebook

A practicable vector quantization codebook should have the characteristics that its size is small and every codeword is of representative nature.The paper presents two methods of secondary design waveform codebook.One is basis on the codeword use frequency,another is basis on the codeword energy.They can decrease the codebook complexity and hold synthesis speech quality high.Further analysis reveals the relationship both them.
