In this paper a channel assignment strategy based on wireless link interference model for 802.11s wireless mesh network is proposed. At the beginning, existing wireless interference model and transmit model are analyzed, and the impact of wireless interference on wireless mesh network is researched by simulation.According to simulation conclusion a wireless link interference model is proposed, and then considering tree-based netflow, the wireless mesh network topology is orderly decomposed so as to mark off the multi-hop link interferences and single-hop parallel interferences. At the end,the proposed 802.11s channel assignment strategy is based on the idea of reducing or eliminating wireless multi-hop link interference by the way of recycled and intercrossed channel assignment.
