Modeling and Simulation of DoS Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc Network

This paper studies the Denial of Service(DoS) attacks modeling with an on-off characteristic in mobile Ad Hoc network.In order to reflect the realistic mobile Ad Hoc network traffic in the scenarios,building method of self-similar traffic in Qualnet is discussed.DoS attacks by injected with data are simulated and analyzed under three different network traffic models.Simulation results show DoS attacks with the on-off characteristic can destroy the network nodes,reduce the network performance,and can also save the energy and undetected.
