Investigation of Ellipses in Ad Text

Ellipsis is a long standing difficult problem waiting to be studied.The application of the theory of ellipsis to ad texts is both a new attempt and a challenging job.This paper analyses the forms of ellipses concerning with various speech parts and points out the ellipsis within a sentence is mainly that with the same context while the ellipsis beyond a sentence may be that of logic meaning as well as that with the same context.
