Research on sniffer discovery technology

The technique of Sniffer discovery is an important problem in network security,which affect the security and reliability of data transmitted in network.The elements of promiscuous-based Sniffer and ARP-spoof-based Sniffer are intoduced,and the old tech-niques of Sniffer discovery on two different technique are summarized.One is detected by the characteristic of the system,the other one is detected by the characteristic of the network.Based on the veracity and the network load,the two techniques are compared.Finally,three kinds of measures to detect sniffing by ARP-spoof are presented.
