Streaming Media Congestion Control Based on Loss Differentiation Algorithm in Wireless Environment

As the vile link quality and handover in wireless environment strictly recedes the performance of congestion control scheme, a new end-to-end loss differentiation algorithm(LDA) based on (M,K) measuring model is proposed with the influence of error control of wireless link on transport layer being considered. Then a new multimedia congestion control for wireless environment(WTFRC) is designed based on the proposed algorithm. By validation with NS simulation, the precision of the proposed LDA is proved to be higher than other LDA and WTFRC can maintain good performance.
