Performance comparison between noise signal and chirp signal in correlation measurement

In time-difference correlation measurement the broader the bandwidth of source signal is, the larger the superiority of peak value will be, thus the better the anti-jamming performance. Through theoretical analysis and mathematical simulations the performance of two kinds of band-wide signal source, named Noise signal and Chirp signal, in determined time difference of two signals in correlation measurement are investigated. Noisy signal can cover wider frequency range and its bandwidth is not limited by the length of signal used, thus have higher resolution. However its frequency spectrum is similar to that of noise disturbance, thus have poorer anti-interference ability. Chirp signal`s frequency and bandwidth are under the control of operator and its frequency spectrum feature is distinct, the anti-interference ability will be much better.
