Experimental study on the electrostatic drying for wood and it's mechanism
Dong Jin-chang · Energy Engineering · 2004
By using the self-regulating electrostatic drying equipment, the electrostatic drying for wood is studied. The experimental result shows that the velocity of water movement in wood is distinctly quicker under electrostatic field than that in the atmosphere. The drying rate under electrostatic field is 3 to 5 times of that in the atmosphere. And it increases with the enhancement of the intensity of electrostatic field. In addition, the preliminary study of mechanism of water move in wood was done.
