ON THE ORIGIN AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PAINTING MURALS WITH FLYING APSARAS STYLING ON THE MAI-JI MOUNTAIN STONE CAVE IN THE NORTHERN DYNASTIES

the Flying Apsaras is just with the kite-like image in India,and usually it is with a sense of motionlessness.With the spread of the Buddhism and Buddhism art,the Flying Apsaras came into China via Middle Asia and the Silk Road.When it was in china,through clothes and ribbon,mellow flying momentum and beautiful stance in rhythm were created on the Flying Apsaras.This paper will use the painted murals on the Mai-Ji Mountain stone cave in the Northern Dynasties as the entry point,and will make an analytical investigation on its special flying stance in order to deduce its complicated evolution.At the same time,it will also be compared with other relative flying stances to quest its origin of characteristics.
