The Numeral Hyperbole in the Chinese Idiom

Caused by the numeral in the Chinese idiom, the hyperbole meaning mainly has three types. They are enlargement, diminishment and comparison respectively. The expression of the numeral hyperbolic meaning in the idiom is restricted by several factors such as being big or small of the numeral own, the semantic comparison of the other compositions and the certain background of cognitive psychology.
