A Model for Traffic State Recognition Based on FAHP and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation

Yan Cheng-ling · 2012

In order to evaluate traffic congestion more objectively and effectively, average travel speed and occupancy of road section, saturation, vehicle average delay and average maximum queue length of intersection are selected as evaluation indexes,These five evaluation indexes have the most sensitive response to traffic state changes and can be acquired easily.A model for traffic state recognition based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is designed.FAHP is adopted to compute the weight of these evaluation indexes, and weighted average method is adopted to translate the model outputs into specific value.Through simulation, feasibility and rationality of this model are tested,so that the theoretical basis is provided for instituting measures that relieve traffic congestion.
