【Abstract】The principle and design method for Bootloader in embedded system based on GNU tools are proposed. A general Bootloader model which has good performance in portability and complex application function is designed. The model can easily be ported to other CPU of different architecture. The development model proposed is fully free, principle knowable, and has good expansibility. 【Key words】Bootloader; GNU tools; Embedded system; Linux
