Design and Realization of A New Three-step Search Algorithm Based on H.264/AVC

According to the defects of the traditional three-step searching algorithm, a Rood-Square Pattern Search Algorithm for fast Block Motion Estimation (RSPS) is proposed. This algorithm, based on the characteristics of center-biased motion vectors, combines initial motion victor prediction with the zero-motion pre-judgment(ZMP), and thus the motion estimation searching speed can be increased and a high searching accuracy can be maintained.
