Based on the analysis of the current trend of provincial level electronic map vector data and the status quo of reference material,this paper introduces the technical route and method of the data update of settlement name,administrative area and transportation in Shanxi electronic map vector data in the light of production practice and experience,and provides technical reference to the update of other fundamental data.
