System of the Hydrology Information Remote Collection Based on GIS and GSM

The character of the advanced technology of GIS and GSM wireless transmission was introduced and a system of the hydrology information remote collection,which based GIS as the operation system and GSM as the mode of information transmission was developed.The system with information in time including the most of the strongpoint of GIS and GSM improved the precision and efficiency,and the forecasting speed in the hydrology for the real-time dispatching of reservoir decision support.Therefore,it was the important component of the digital drainage basin.
