Domestic Network Condition Survey for P2P Deployabilities

Aiming at the lackness of large-scale study of users' network access condition in China,this paper conducts a large-scale measurement study of residential broadband access conditions by examining more than 1 700 broadband hosts.Based on the data,it finds that the probability to build a reliable connection between two peers in the P2P network is 95.7%.It also analyzes the actual effectiveness of P2P services deployed in the wild.According to the analysis,it gives some guidelines for operators of P2P services to make a successful deployment of such services in China.
