Research on the Syntactical Functions of Coordinating Conjunctions

From the viewpoint of language information processing,the coordinating conjunctions can coordinate the nouns,the verbs,the adjectives,the adverbs,the prepositions,and even the clauses.Therefore,they have the very complicated syntactical functions.It is critical for the understanding,and even translating a sentence to differentiate the concrete syntactical function of every coordinating conjunction in a sentence.The differentiation of the syntactical functions of the coordinating conjunctions depends on some conditions.In this article,we explore some conditions for the differentiation of the syntactical functions of the coordinating conjunctions from the practice of natural language processing such as French.
