It has been known that traditional mobile agents( MA) cause problems of large delay time and high energy consumption, when monitoring the interested information in wireless sensor networks( WSNs). Considering above problems, bidirectional parallel mobile agent routing algorithm based on 3D cell space( 3D—BPMA) is presented. It combines MA and the traditional Client / Server( C / S) mode, which collects information in 3D cell space by using C / S mode and transmit messages in single-layer cell system and among routers by using bidirectional parallel strategy. Simulation results show that compared with LCF and DSG—MIP algorithms,3D—BPMA reduces average response time, average energy consumption of networks and improves delivery rate of MA.
