Semantic Functional Grammar(SFG)is a new theory of functional grammar which is Chinese characteristics.SFG which stands for semantic meaning is determinative in grammar structure and holds that the study of Chinese grammar should attach importance to semantic and pragmatic factors.SFG takes full advantage of,enriches and perfects the methods of Structuralism,which makes the study of Chinese grammar more scientific and accurate.
