Research of the IP Multicast-enabled SNMP

A detailed analysis of the necessity and the feasibility of IP multicast-enabled SNMP is given. In addition, based on the UCD-SNMP on the Linux platform, the implementation scheme is presented. Furthermore, the SNMP manager and agent is described by means of extended place/transition net and sequence diagram, thus a solid methodological and formal foundation for implementation of IP multicast-enabled SNMP is laid.
