Study of the Related Problems in Gather/Scatter Sased Command Combination Algorithm of RAID

In order to improve I/O performance and reduce I/O implementation time,a kind of command combination strategy is used.It combines multiple commands targeted to the same disk driver of the same command type and contiguous operating address.This paper introduces command combination algorithm based on gather/scatter technology,and analyzes several key problems that impact its efficiency in details.
