Design of Realizing the Extending of Serial Communication by Applying PLD of PSD834F2

The multifunction device for reactive compensation based on 80C196KC is introduced in this paper. The device has two serial communication interface: RS-232 and RS-485, and the smallset system of it consists of intel 80C196KC and PSD834F2. The hardware, software and communication protocol are described in detail.
