Medical Image Compression Based on Multi-wavelet Transform and Fractal Compression

According to the special requirements of medical image analysis and compression,the multi-wavelet transform and fractal compression theory is introduced into the medical image compression.First,multi-wavelet transform for the medical image is maken,better to keep the image edges and details,then fractal compression method to compress medical images is used.Experiments show that,this algorithm in the premise of keeping the quality of medical image and high compression ratio,the encoding time is greatly reduced.Fractal on the compression of medical image is very effective in clinical application.
