Design of Water Level Automatic Control System Based on MCGS and PLC

Wang Yun-gan · Measurement & Control Technology · 2014

To improve the security and automation level of current water level control systems,an integrated approach is presented, which combines the MCGS universal monitoring system and the PLC technology. The PLC is used to implement the control functions and the MCGS configuration software is used to implement some functions, such as real-time monitoring, alarms, data query and report output.Experiments and applications demonstrate that when it is used in real time monitoring of field devices, the approach is easy to be implemented and has a higher degree of automation. The presented research can be applied to industry practice and has positive contribution to further research in water level control and industry field devices monitoring.
