Algorithm of real eigenvalue decompositions for 6-D DOA estimation with uniform circular arrays

An improved 2-D MUSIC algorithm that operates in beamspace for DOA estimation with the uniform circular array is developed. The algorithm requires only real eigenvalue decompositions to obtain signal and noise subspace estimation, so it has the advantages of reduceing computation, improving precision and enhanceing performance in coherent sources. The efficiency of this method is verified by computer simulations.
