Traditional SNMP-based network monitoring model adopts the centralized data collection manner, and the monitoring modules can not share information for each other. So in the complex network environment the monitoring tools based on that model can not effectively report the network running status in time.A new P2P-based network monitoring model is proposed based on analyzing the shortage of traditional SNMP-based network monitoring model. In the new network monitoring model each intelligent peer can find the differences between the services which monitored and others. At last the inner structure of the new monitoring model is discussed.
