Study on the Transaction-Based HW/SW Co-simulation Technology

Liao Tian-yu · Microelectronics & Computer · 2007

This paper introduces the concept of transaction-based hw/sw co-simulation, and a layered architecture for implementation. This architecture partitions the functions of the co-simulation logically so that it can be implemented in module is easy for function expansion. The transactional hw/sw co-simulation of a packet switch module is implemented on the CD6501 SoC SW/HW co-verification system of UESTC. The experimental result verified that the proposed architecture can perform the task of co-simulation well and can enhance the verify speed.
