Applications of an improved AODV Rerouting Algorithm on Wireless Mesh Networks

In this paper,a loop-free alternative rerouting strategy was proposed and was applied to the AODV,for improving the capability of fast self-healing of WMNs.AODV-Backup was firstly introduced,followed by the AODV-LFA.The proposed AODV-LFA was evaluated by NS simulator,on aspects of packet loss rate,end-to-end latency,etc.Performance results reveal that the proposed AODV-LFA performs better self-healing capability than the others.
