ASCM:SOA-based embedded adaptive safety critical middleware

Embedded safety-critical systems(ESCS) are those systems whose failure could result in loss of life,significant property damage,or damage to the environment.Because of the nature of ESCS,designing the applications for ESCS in distributed environment is harder than those for distributed real-time embedded systems.This paper described a SOA based safety-critical middleware called adaptive safety-critical middleware(ASCM).ASCM provided related services for ease the development of embedded safety-critical applications.Also presented the technologies of end-to-end adaptive QoS management and fault tolerance to satisfy the dynamic and unpredictable mission requirements of ESCS.
