In order to improve the performance of MHR networks, this paper presented a reliable and efficient minimum hop routing(MHR-ER) wireless sensor networks on basis of MHR networks. With the help of gradient neighbor information discovered from the network behaviors, controlled the routing finely.By controlling the level width of the minimum hop gradient field, ensured the consistently reliability of data sinking.By limiting the number of forwarding node in every hop, improved the energy-efficiency.The theoretic analysis and simulation results validate that the reliability and efficiency of MHR-ER networks is high, that is good for promoting the practical application of minimum hop routing networks.
