Scratch line detection on old movies based on Hough transform

To protect old movies and national video archives,the method of automatic restoration of old movies and video archives is studied.To effectively detect scratch lines which are common on old movies,its cause of emergence,basic features and detection methods are analyzed.After analyzing the basic principle of Hough transform,a new algorithm of scratch line detection based on Hough transform is proposed.It indicates that the algorithm can effectively detect the scratch lines on old movies,and also provide theoretical basis for inpainting automatic and realization foundation.
