DCT Coding Arithmetic Based on HDTV System

The discrete cosine coding will be used during the transferring of picture information.In this thesis,we discussed the basal arithmetic of DCT coding by using 8 times 8 switching matrix.The math- ematic principle and properties of the picture signal's singularity analysis are studied and the results indi- cate that the DCT coding can be adopted when the block standard difference is less than the enactmenting value during the course of measuring each block's standard difference using grating scanning orderly.
