Image Interpolation Based on Improved EMD Algorithm

For the image data is non-stable and has strong local characteristics,a new image interpolation algorithm based on empirical mode decomposition(EMD) is designed.As for the pretreatment,the algorithm of support vector machine(SVM) is adopted to extend image boundary.The improved intrinsic mode function(IMF) was obtained by the new algorithm based on the extreme point in the image data and the local mean value of the data between reasonable statistic extreme values.The testing results show that the interpolation images have higher quality,and the calculation speed is increased.
