Study on Robustness of Multiuser Spatial Diversity Combining System

The robustness of multiuser diversity in MIMO-MRC and optimum combining(OC) systems with imperfect channel state information(CSI) are discussed.By using the multiuser average capacity difference RMUD with channel estimation error,this paper analyzes the robustness of the three systems in a flat Rayleigh fading channel with multiple co-channel interferences(CCIs).The study indicates that OC system always outperforms the MIMO-MRC systems when there exist no co-channel interferences,whereas MIMO-MRC outperform the OC system when there exist multiple CCIs.
