Iterative Detection of CPM

CPM modulation features constant envelope,small PAPR and high power efficiency.Based on the principle of CPM,a comparison is made between the characteristics of the maximum likelihood sequence detection viterbi algorithm and symbol-by-symbol maximum a posteriori probability(MAP)demodulation algorithm,and the MAP algorithm using iterative detection techniques for SISO demodulation and decoding is particularly introduced.Simulation of Full-Response and Partial-Response CPM signals over an additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN)channel is conducted.The results show that a high coding gain of iterative detection can be achieved by using coherent demodulation and decoding.
