HFC Network Technology
Zhang Ning, Yuefeng Ji · Optical Fiber & Electric Cable and Their Applications · 2004
Currently, many communication systems that deliver high bit rate information stream to customers' premises using HFC/CATV networks are being developed quickly. As an access medium to the Internet, HFC/CATV networks have been more widespread recently. This network consists of a central administrative system, a CMTS(Cable Modem Termination System), and hundreds of CMs(Cable Modems). Through them the users connect their own computers to the network. Therefore the HFC transmission technology and its application prospect are analyzed and studied in detail.
