Data Gathering Protocol Based on Specific-Channel for Wireless Sensor Network

In the traditional routing protocols of the WSNs(wireless sensor networks),as the cluster head directly transfers data to the remote base station,it will result in the excessive energy consumption and its premature death.Therefore,a data gathering protocol for the WSNs based on specific-channels of data transmission is presented in this paper,i.e.the SCDG protocol.The protocol maues improvement in the traditional LEACH protocol.The cluster head needs only transmit data to the transmission node within the short distance,and then forward data to the base station via the specific-channel in WSNs,which greatly reduces the energy consumption of the cluster head.The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that SCDG protocol,through the balanced energy consumption of the nodes and shortened distance of data transmission,makes the network lifetime longer than the LEACH and DEEC protocols.
